Hello Mountain View XC Fam,
I hope you all are doing well and that the start of classes has been a smooth transition for everyone. I wanted to update you all on what the plan is for the Fall “season 1” and what XC will look like for the Fall. The district came up with a priority system for each sport that gives every sport a time slot in which they can hold official team practices. Since Spring sports were cut short, those sports were given first priority. So, there is a fall track season which will be September 28th-October 23rd. I will be coaching the distance crew during that time and once that wraps up, we move into the Fall sports time slot (October 28th-November 20th).
So we will get together for some training after the fall track season wraps up. I highly recommend signing up for fall track if you have nothing else going on. This is a great opportunity to work on our track speed during the fall! Thank you for your patience with this ever-changing season. Biggest thing to remember is that our actual XC season is still on for March. That’s when we get to lace up the spikes and compete! Let’s keep our eyes set on that and stay ready and motivated.
