Running has always been a part of my life, but how I run has evolved over the years. During high school track, my favorite event was the 800 meter. Most of my adult life, I challenged myself by entering local races, half marathons being my preferred distance. In 2018, I started running trail ultras. I completed several 50ks and one 50 miler. Besides races, I relish self-supported trail runs with friends. For example, I circumvented Mount Hood and the Three Sisters.
When I am not running or talking about running, I love teaching math at Mountain View. That said, the best job is being a Grandma to 2 year-old Milo.
Advice for running and math: Set personal goals, embrace the challenge, and find friends who share your goals and encourage you.
